Recommendations

Clothing

Appropriate driving clothing must have protections in case of falls, reflective elements that make the driver visible and be comfortable so as not to interfere with driving. Wear long pants and closed shoes.

Find out the climatic conditions of the area you will visit to bring as little clothing as possible in your luggage. You can leave luggage with us without problem and consider a small bag to carry your clothes in the suitcases of motorcycles that are approximately 30 liters.

Do not forget to bring sunscreen, at any time and wherever you go.

Driving

The luggage must be properly secured to the motorcycle so that it does not hinder the driving, adjust the straps of the bags so that they do not get entangled or go flaming with the wind.

Bring cash on hand to pay intercity tolls.

On long trips, check the general conditions of the motorcycle daily. You should check tire pressure, anchoring of fenders and supports, lights conditions, suspension, brake pads and oil level and fill with the indicated if necessary. The climatic conditions, surfaces and driving styles affect all these variables that you must review to have a trip without problems.

With few exceptions, it is not necessary to have fuel reserves, we recommend you check it before starting the route to border crossings and certain sections of our Southern Highway. Carabineros protects the roads and does it in a reliable way, with them you can check the state of the roads, weather conditions, among others.

Feeding

For long driving stretches, eat light and hydrate properly. While drinking water can be drunk, the recommendation is to drink bottled water to avoid problems.

Do not drink alcohol if you are driving, it is strictly forbidden to do so under the influence of alcohol.

Remember to take the medications you usually take with those that may be necessary for headache, muscle aches, stomach upset and other discomforts that you may experience on your trip.

Security

Chile is a safe country, however it is important to consider that theft by surprise is a more common crime than we would like and especially affects foreigners. Keep your belongings and documents properly guarded and the motorcycle in sight at the service stations if you carry cargo.

Use the security lock, especially when you park the motorcycle at night.

Cloning of credit cards is not frequent, but we recommend that transactions are always carried out while keeping them in sight.

Change money in established places.
