The Carretera Austral (Austral road) starts south from Puerto Montt and offers hotspots without any comparison. To see all its greatness and wildness you must prepare a well done plan considering the daily travel distances and freight the motorbike by ship more than once. This is a zone that challenges the technical capabilities and resistance of the riders who look for hard offroad.
The land roads end in Chile with this route and, to achieve a southern point, you will pass to Argentina and ride through its steppe. From Punta Arenas, you can ride to Puerto Natales and then tour the Torres del Paine National Park. You can also visit the Argentine city Ushuaia and the Chilean town Puerto Williams, the most austral settlement over the world.
